LA Festival of Books

Hello Everyone!

I know it's been awhile since I've posted anything but I figure I'd catch you up on what's going on.

This past weekend the Fernandez clan went to the LA Times Festival of Books on the UCLA campus. This is a yearly event celebrating the written word. It's FABULOUS! We had a wonderful time looking at all the books and interacting with lots of people.

But the highlight of our trip was meeting the kids singing group Hi-5. For those of you who don't have a toddler or preschooler, these are a talented group of performers who have a show on TLC. They sing, they dance, they teach kids basic educational concepts in a fun way. Julia and Audrey were so excited to meet them all. I was too.

The group turned out to be the nicest people, willing to talk and take photos with the fans even though they had just flown all the way from Australia to perform there. I admire their patience and kindness to all the fans. All the kids had a blast just being around these people that they see everyday on their TV screens.



A BIG HI-5 THANKS goes out to everyone in Hi-5 - Curtis, Kimee, Shaun, Karla and Jenn. You made our day complete. Check out the pics we took while we were there. I hope you enjoy them!
